Two denier heavier than the thinnest we make, which in practice is the difference between a knit you have to think about and one you can put on in the morning without planning your day around it.

The leg still reads through clearly. What changes against 8D is how the fabric behaves at the ankle and the toe, not how transparent it looks.

Snagging

At 10D the yarn is fine and catches easily on rings, nails and rough seating. A tighter knit at 70D resists snagging better than at 10D, but no tights are snag-proof.

A ladder from catching the fabric is wear, not a fault. A seam coming apart on first wear is a fault. Guarantee and conformity.
