A 7 cm knitted lace welt, patterned as an abstract geometric repeat. The lace is structural — it is knitted in, not applied — so it stretches with the leg.

A lace top grips slightly better than a plain one because it is deeper, not because the lace itself does anything.

Snagging

At 15D the yarn is fine and catches easily on rings, nails and rough seating. A tighter knit at 70D resists snagging better than at 15D, but no tights are snag-proof.
