Forty denier, same welt construction as D-03. The heavier leg puts more weight on the band, so grip matters more here than at 15D.

Silicone bands hold better on dry skin. Lotions and oils reduce grip. They reduce slipping; they do not eliminate it.

At 40D the knit is denser than a sheer and resists snagging better, but higher denier resists snagging better. no tights are snag-proof.
